ZOETROPE

Here's my first zoetrope animation that I drawn

Zoetrope is a optical toy in which figures made to revolve or spin around on the inside, and it viewed through the slits in its border, and it's appear like a single figure passing through natural motions as if animated. Zoetrope is important because it is a first animation object invented to create a movement.

My experience using this object (zoetrope) it was fun and easy to used, because you can make your drawing animation move without repeating your drawing over and over again. If I am going to compare this to other techniques that I experience this techniques I’ll say had the advantage and ability to make your animation move without spending time and effort to draw every single frame of your animation.

William George Horner
He in vented  the Zoetrope in 1834.

My name is Alfredo Ocampo. I’m 19 years old. I was born in Quezon City Philippines. I have studied my high school in the Philippines but I didn’t have a chance to finish it, because my parents decided to take me to the UK and continue my studies.

Now, I have been living in London for 4 years and 7 months. I did my GCSE’s at Cardinal Hensley and by the time I got my results I have decided to go to college which is Hammersmith rather than staying at Cardinal Hensley.

I studied in Hammersmith for 2 year and finish my course which is BTEC First Diploma in applied Science level, 1 and 2 as of now I’m still a college student and currently studying at Westminster College doing my 1st year BTEC National Diploma in New Media.

Every Sunday I go to my church.
My hobbies are:

Hanging out with my friend and staying at their house while playing Xbox, watching different movies, composing rap songs lyrics and playing basketball. My favourite colour is black because it’s representing a specific colour and most of my clothes that I wear are black.

The great achievement in my life so far is when I was 16 years old I fought WEKAF championship martial arts in Bristol and won bronze medal. If I am going to describe myself it would be “I am a very quiet and simple person”.

Video formats – converting the video files to reduce video data.
 E.g. MPEG1, 2, 4 and JPEG etc.

Streaming – means you don’t have to download the file to your computer to be able to watch the movies.

File compression – you can reduce the overall number of bits and bytes in a file so it can be transfer faster over slower internet connection.

Aspect ratio 4:3, 16:9 – it is the ratio of the width and the height. Example 4:3 standard screen/ 16:9 wide screen.

Frame rates – is refers to how many frames a camcorder will capture per second. E.g. 25 frames can capture per second.
